Meet the Artist
Chris Holmes is a self-taught artist who has been painting watercolors for over 30 years. His distinctive style of painting typically leaves substantial "white-space" in which the paper is untouched or he scrapes away parts of the paper to create texture. In 2008, Chris began having high quality prints made to display at art festivals. His prints are now on display and available at eight stores. Chris, a United Methodist pastor serving as the Annapolis area District Superintendent, is married to Margaret Holmes and the proud father of three grown children.

Prices
Originals: Most of the originals are on display at the Island Butterfly Shop, 4107 Main Street Chincoteague, Virginia, http://www.islandbutterfly.net/. Originals are framed 22x28 and priced $700-$900.
Prints: The prints are the highest quality giclee reproductions which are very close to the originals and are matted on conservation mat. They are printed at the Munson Gallery in Santa Fe, NM where prints for the National Museum of Art are printed. They come in two sizes: 12x18 priced at $45, and 22X28 priced at $90. All prints are numbered and signed limited editions of 100.
Posters: "Reflections" is a limited edition of 500 that became available to the public July 15, 2009. An 18x24 retails for $28. "Main Street" is a limited edition of 1000 that became available to the public July 15, 2009. A 10x36 retails for $36.
